What hosted Binderwork keeps, why, and who else handles it. If you use a copy someone else runs, they decide these things, not us.

Two kinds of data

Your company’s records. The documents a workspace shares and sends, the people it shares them with and who sign them, its cap table and its hiring records. The company decides what goes in and who sees it. Binderwork keeps and processes these only to do what the company asks.

Your own account and your binder. Your name, email address, passkeys and sign-ins, and the copies filed in your binder if you start one. Binderwork decides how these are handled, as this page says.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address, the public half of each passkey (never the private key), and your sign-ins.
  • When someone opens a shared link or signs: the email address they give, their IP address, browser and device, the pages they opened and for how long, and each signing step. This goes to the company that shared it, so it can see who read and who signed.
  • Each workspace’s audit log: every change, who made it and when.
  • This site, binderwork.com, sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Your light or dark choice stays in your browser.

What we never do

  • Show ads, add third-party trackers, or put tracking pixels in our emails.
  • Sell or rent personal data.
  • Connect a reader or a signer across different companies’ workspaces.
  • Train AI models on your content.

Cookies

app.binderwork.com sets a cookie to keep you signed in. A shared link sets one for that link only, to keep a visit together and remember an email you verified. Both are needed for the service to work, and there are no others.

AI and your chat

When you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, what it reads from Binderwork goes to that provider under your agreement with them. If your company adds its own AI key, the documents you use with AI features go to that provider under your company’s contract with it.

Who else handles data

Hosted Binderwork runs on servers its maintainers operate. Cloudflare carries traffic to both sites, keeps standard request logs, and delivers our email: sign-in links, signing requests and the copies people receive.

How long we keep it

  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
  • A workspace’s records: until the company removes them or asks us to delete the workspace. The evidence for a signature stays with the signed document.
  • Your binder: until you stop it, which deletes every copy in it.

Your choices

A workspace can export everything it holds at any time: one archive with every document, each signature’s evidence, the register and the audit log.

To see, correct or delete your account data, write to hi@binderwork.com. If a company shared a document with you, you can ask that company directly; we act on its instructions, and we pass your request on to it.
